Join us as Professor Fionnuala Ní Aoláin reflects on her time as the UN Special Rapporteur on counter-terrorism and human rights.

Professor Ní Aoláin is a long-standing CAJ board member and the current editor of CAJ’s human rights newsletter, Just News. From 2017 until the end of her mandate in October 2023, she served as the UN Special Rapporteur on counter-terrorism and human rights. In this lecture, Fionnuala will reflect on the six and a half years she spent working within the UN special procedures mandate, while also highlighting current global challenges.
