A hustings event in anticipation of the 2022 NI Assembly Election

When: 2pm to 4pm, Thursday 28 April 2022

Where: The Lab, The MAC, Belfast AND online

In advance of the Northern Ireland Assembly Election on 5 May 2022, the Equality Coalition is hosting a (hybrid) hustings event in The MAC, Belfast. Each of the eight parties who currently have seats at Stormont will be invited to send a representative.

The hustings will be structured as an open dialogue with parties and will focus on the issues highlighted within the Equality Coalition’s ‘policy asks’ document, which was launched earlier this year. Coalition members will give brief inputs and seek commitments from the parties across three different thematic areas:

1. The implementation of the social inclusion’ strategies.

2. Outstanding rights-based commitments.

3. Reform to the power sharing Institutions.

Time will be set aside at the end of the event for an open Q&A session. Further details to follow soon!

In-person attendance is invite-only and restricted to members of the Coalition, but everyone else can register via Eventbrite to attend online. The link to join the hustings will be emailed the day before the event.

Email equalitycoalition@caj.org.uk if you have any questions.

The Equality Coalition is co-convened by CAJ and UNISON.
